R E S O L U T I O N
WHEREAS, The members of the San Juan Neighborhood Improvement
Association are making a positive difference in the local community
by representing the interests of their neighborhood; and
WHEREAS, Located in Central El Paso, the San Juan
Neighborhood Improvement Association empowers and engages area
residents through advocacy and the coordination of projects and
activities; the group strives to build strong relationships among
neighbors, and it serves as a unified voice in city government; and
WHEREAS, As part of the greater El Paso community, the San
Juan Neighborhood Improvement Association contributes to the
vibrancy and growth of a forward-looking city that is committed to
the safety and beautification of neighborhoods and to providing
residents with outstanding recreational, cultural, and educational
opportunities; and
WHEREAS, The vitality of a community depends in large measure
on the vision and dedication of concerned citizens, and through
their endeavors, the members of the San Juan Neighborhood
Improvement Association are helping to improve the quality of life
in Central El Paso and the surrounding area; now, therefore, be it
RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 87th Texas
Legislature hereby commend the San Juan Neighborhood Improvement
Association for its service to the El Paso community and extend to
its members sincere best wishes for the future; and, be it further
RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be
prepared for the organization as an expression of high regard by the
Texas House of Representatives.
