The bill would amend the Family Code to remove a provision for the Health and Human Services Commission to contract with one statewide organization that is also designated as a supporting organization under Section 509(a)(3) of the federal Internal Revenue Code.The Health and Human Services Commission indicates any cost to implement provisions of the bill would be minimal and can be absorbed within available resources.
