Kolkhorst, Chair, Senate Committee on Health & Human Services     FROM: Jerry McGinty, Director, Legislative Budget Board      IN RE: SB1200 by Powell (Relating to the referral of certain pregnant women to a nurse-family partnership program.), As Introduced     No significant fiscal implication to the State is anticipated. The bill would amend Family Code to require the Department of Family and Protective Services (DFPS) to coordinate with the Health and Human Services Commission (HHSC) to promote the referral to a partnership program of pregnant women receiving services through a public benefits program.Based on analysis of DFPS and HHSC, it is assumed that the costs associated with implementing the provisions of the bill could be absorbed within existing resources.   Local Government ImpactNo fiscal implication to units of local government is anticipated.
