Kolkhorst, Chair, Senate Committee on Health & Human Services     FROM: Jerry McGinty, Director, Legislative Budget Board      IN RE: SB1313 by Hall (Relating to the right to choose and refuse medical treatment and control measures and to the imposition of isolation or quarantine control measures.), Committee Report 1st House, Substituted     No significant fiscal implication to the State is anticipated. The bill would require the Department of State Health Services (DSHS) or a local health authority to provide notice and an opportunity to demonstrate the measure is not necessary before implementing a control measure involving isolation or quarantine. DSHS and the Office of Court Administration indicated the provisions of the bill could be implemented within existing resources.  Local Government ImpactTaylor County does not anticipate a significant fiscal impact to the county. The fiscal impact to other units of local government cannot be determined at this time.
