The bill would amend the Texas Government Code relating to the approval by the comptroller of certain contracts for legal services between an attorney and the Office of the Attorney General. It is assumed that any costs associated with the bill could be absorbed by the Office of the Attorney General using existing resources.According to the Comptroller's Office, the fiscal impact of the bill cannot be determined.  Local Government ImpactNo significant fiscal implication to units of local government is anticipated.
