                    LEGISLATIVE BUDGET BOARD     Austin, Texas       FISCAL NOTE, 87TH LEGISLATIVE REGULAR SESSION             April 5, 2021       TO: Honorable Brandon Creighton, Chair, Senate Committee on Higher Education     FROM: Jerry McGinty, Director, Legislative Budget Board      IN RE: SB1701 by Creighton (Relating to certain bonds issued by public institutions of higher education in this state to acquire, purchase, construct, improve, renovate, enlarge, or equip the property, buildings, structures, or facilities of or the related infrastructure for those institutions.), As Introduced     No significant fiscal implication to the State is anticipated. Under provisions of the bill, any bonds issued under Education Code 55.13(a) would be designated "Capital Improvement Bonds". Institutions of Higher Education indicate that any costs associated with the bill could be absorbed within current resources.  Local Government ImpactNo fiscal implication to units of local government is anticipated.
