It is assumed that the costs associated with the bill's provisions relating to the criminal offense of interference with child custody and a peace officer's duties with respect to that offense could be absorbed using existing resources and that implementing the provisions of the bill addressing felony sanctions for criminal offenses would not result in a significant impact on state correctional agencies.
