The bill would amend the Insurance Code relating to the applicability of certain provisions mandating the provision by certain health benefit plans of health benefits requiring cost defrayal by the state. Based on information provided by the Texas Department of Insurance and Comptroller of Public Accounts, this analysis assumes that the duties and responsibilities associated with implementing the provisions of the bill could be accomplished by utilizing existing resources.  Local Government ImpactNo fiscal implication to units of local government is anticipated.
