Methodology While the number of requests for kits cannot be determined at this time, this analysis assumes that kits will be requested for 10% of enrolled students in grades PK-5 in FY 2022 and 5% in subsequent years based on enrollment in the 2020-2021 school year. TEA estimates that each kit would cost $15. Based on these assumptions, the cost for kits in FY 2022 would be $3.7 million and $1.9 million in subsequent years. Local Government Impact No significant fiscal implication to units of local government is anticipated.
