Methodology While the number of requests for kits cannot be determined at this time, this analysis assumes that kits will be provided for 10% of enrolled students in grades K-8 in FY 2022 and 5% in subsequent years based on enrollment in the 2020-2021 school year. TEA estimates that each kit would cost $15. Based on these assumptions, the cost for kits in FY 2022 would be $5.3 million and $2.7 million in subsequent years. Local Government Impact No significant fiscal implication to units of local government is anticipated.
