                    LEGISLATIVE BUDGET BOARD     Austin, Texas       FISCAL NOTE, 87TH LEGISLATIVE REGULAR SESSION             April 17, 2021       TO: Honorable Jeff Leach, Chair, Senate Committee on Judiciary & Civil Jurisprudence     FROM: Jerry McGinty, Director, Legislative Budget Board      IN RE: SB30 by West (Relating to the removal of certain discriminatory restrictions and provisions from certain real property records.), As Engrossed     No significant fiscal implication to the State is anticipated. The bill would amend the Property Code to allow for the removal of discriminatory restrictions or provisions from property records, through the submission of a form that can be considered by county clerks. The bill would require the attorney general to develop the form as outlined in the provisions of the bill.    The Office of the Attorney General indicates that costs to implement the provisions of the bill could be absorbed within existing resources.  Local Government ImpactThe Brazoria County Clerk expects a minimal fiscal impact and the Guadalupe County Clerk does not anticipate a fiscal impact from provisions of the bill.
