The bill would amend the Local Government Code to require the commissioners court of each county to establish an adult sexual assault response team. The bill would authorize two or more contiguous counties, each with a population of 50,000 or less, to partner to form a multicounty response team.  Local Government ImpactAccording to Harris County, the bill would cost up to $150,000 to implement and up to a recurring $750,000 per year to comply.According to Travis County, the bill would have a fiscal impact and create a need for additional staff.
