                    LEGISLATIVE BUDGET BOARD     Austin, Texas       FISCAL NOTE, 87TH LEGISLATIVE REGULAR SESSION             March 27, 2021       TO: Honorable Charles Perry, Chair, Senate Committee on Water, Agriculture & Rural Affairs     FROM: Jerry McGinty, Director, Legislative Budget Board      IN RE: SB634 by Kolkhorst (Relating to the confidentiality of the identity of certain landowners who participate in a State Soil and Water Conservation Board program to manage or eradicate an invasive species.), As Introduced     No significant fiscal implication to the State is anticipated. The bill would amend the Agriculture Code to exempt requests the identity of participants in invasive species management programs from public information. The exemption would not apply to a person who contracts with the state for removal or management of an invasive species. Based on information provided by the Soil and Water Conservation Board, it is assumed that duties and responsibilities associated with implementing the provisions of the bill could be accomplished utilizing existing resources.  Local Government ImpactNo significant fiscal implication to units of local government is anticipated.
