The bill would require the Department of State Health Services (DSHS) to submit a biennial report on outbreaks of vaccine preventative diseases and de-identified immunization exemption data by December 1 of each even-numbered year. The bill would require the Texas Education Agency (TEA) and DSHS to develop the form for a required annual report of the students' immunization status and would require school districts to provide the data to DSHS. The Health and Human Services Commission (HHSC) would be required to adopt rules related to the reporting of students' immunization status. According to DSHS, TEA, and HHSC, the provisions of the bill could be implemented within existing resources.
