Kolkhorst, Chair, Senate Committee on Health & Human Services     FROM: Jerry McGinty, Director, Legislative Budget Board      IN RE: SB966 by Kolkhorst (Relating to legislative oversight during a public health disaster, including the establishment of a legislative public health oversight board.), As Introduced     No significant fiscal implication to the State is anticipated. The bill would establish a legislative public health oversight board and require the Department of State Health Services (DSHS) commissioner to receive board approval to renew public health disasters. DSHS indicates it could absorb the costs associated with implementing the bill within current resources.  Local Government ImpactNo fiscal implication to units of local government is anticipated.
