SENATE RESOLUTION NO. 37
WHEREAS, Mike and Carolyn Allen celebrated their 50th
wedding anniversary on May 7, 2021, and they may indeed reflect
with joy on the rewarding relationship they have shared; and
WHEREAS, Mr. and Mrs. Allen exchanged the vows of
matrimony on that memorable day in 1971, and over the course of
their marriage, they have found in each other a loving life
partner; and
WHEREAS, This esteemed couple count among their blessings
a fine family that includes their daughters, Debbi, Conni,
Christi, Dana, Lisa, and Sharon, as well as their 12
grandchildren and numerous great-grandchildren; and
WHEREAS, For half a century, Mike and Carolyn Allen have
brought to their marriage laughter, kindness, and devotion, and
it is a pleasure to honor them for their enduring commitment;
now, therefore, be it
RESOLVED, That the Senate of the State of Texas, 87th
Legislature, 1st Called Session, hereby congratulate Mike and
Carolyn Allen on their 50th wedding anniversary and extend to
them sincere best wishes for continued happiness; and, be it
further
RESOLVED, That an official copy of this Resolution be
prepared for the couple as an expression of high regard from the
Texas Senate.
