R E S O L U T I O N
WHEREAS, Anya Kureshi of Austin has ably served her fellow
Texans as an intern in the office of State Representative Jacey
Jetton during the summer of 2021; and
WHEREAS, Since joining the staff, Ms. Kureshi has provided
vital assistance in handling a wide variety of challenging tasks;
in addition to gaining valuable experience in the field of public
service, she has learned more about the legislative process and the
issues facing citizens of the Lone Star State; and
WHEREAS, Ms. Kureshi has also interned with the Austin
Municipal Court, the office of Austin Mayor Steve Adler, and the
Borgen Project; in addition, she has volunteered with ReconMR and
Casa Marianella; she has led the Model UN club at her school, the
Liberal Arts and Science Academy, and she has served as an
ambassador for Girl Scouts of Central Texas; and
WHEREAS, This outstanding young Texan has performed her
duties as a legislative intern with skill and dedication, and she is
indeed deserving of special recognition for her fine work; now,
therefore, be it
RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 87th Texas
Legislature, 2nd Called Session, hereby commend Anya Kureshi for
her service as a legislative intern in the office of State
Representative Jacey Jetton and extend to her sincere best wishes
for continued success in all her endeavors; and, be it further
RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be
prepared for Ms. Kureshi as an expression of high regard by the
Texas House of Representatives.
