 SENATE RESOLUTION
 WHEREAS, A full and generous life drew to a close with the
 passing of Lilia Solis Flores of Laredo on September 25, 2021, at
 the age of 89; and
 WHEREAS, The daughter of Jesus G. Solis and Cristina
 P. Solis, the former Lilia Solis was born in Alice; she grew up in
 Alice, Corpus Christi, and Hebbronville, and she had seven
 siblings, Baldomero, Hector, Irma, Estella, Julia, Lily, and
 Emma; and
 WHEREAS, After graduating from Hebbronville High School,
 she married her sweetheart, Margarito C. "Marty" Flores, and
 relocated to San Antonio, where he was stationed with the U.S.
 Air Force; the couple became the parents of 10 children, Robert,
 Michael, Margaret, Deborah, Linda, Peter, Patricia, Julia, Joan,
 and James; while raising her sons and daughters, Mrs. Flores also
 supported her husband in his military career, which took them to
 Japan and Spain, as well as California, North Dakota, and Laredo;
 and
 WHEREAS, Mrs. Flores eventually welcomed into her
 treasured family 13 grandchildren, Jennifer, Michael, Victor,
 Lilia, Javier, Christina, Victoria, Katherine, Erica, Juliana,
 Lisa, Joan, and Robert, as well as 13 great-grandchildren; she
 and her husband shared a fulfilling marriage until his passing;
 and
 WHEREAS, Thoughtful and caring, Mrs. Flores always placed
 the needs of others above her own; she loved family gatherings
 and decorating for the holidays, and she also enjoyed reading
 novels, antiquing, shopping at flea markets, and going out to
 eat; and
 WHEREAS, Although Lilia Flores will be deeply missed, the
 passage of time will never diminish the warmth and kindness that
 she brought into the lives of all who knew her; now, therefore, be
 it
 RESOLVED, That the Senate of the 87th Texas Legislature,
 3rd Called Session, hereby pay tribute to the life of Lilia Solis
 Flores and extend sincere condolences to her loved ones; and, be
 it further
 RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be
 prepared for her family and that when the Texas Senate adjourns
 this day, it do so in memory of Lilia Flores.
