                    LEGISLATIVE BUDGET BOARD     Austin, Texas       FISCAL NOTE, 88TH LEGISLATIVE REGULAR SESSION             March 18, 2023       TO: Honorable Stephanie Klick, Chair, House Committee on Public Health     FROM: Jerry McGinty, Director, Legislative Budget Board      IN RE: HB1106 by Goodwin (Relating to the training of and the provision of acupuncture services by an acudetox specialist.), As Introduced     No significant fiscal implication to the State is anticipated. This bill would expand the list of individuals who would be eligible for acudetox specialist certification via the Texas Medical Board and would change their renewal period from annually to every 3 years.Based on the analysis of the Comptroller of Public Accounts and the Texas Medical Board, duties and responsibilities associated with implementing the bill can be established with existing resources. Under the bill's provisions, there would be an increase in the acudetox specialist-eligible population which could increase the number of registrations and registration payments deposited to the credit of the General Revenue Fund; however, this estimate assumes that the revenue increase is not anticipated to be significant.   Local Government ImpactNo significant fiscal implication to units of local government is anticipated.
