 A BILL TO BE ENTITLED
 AN ACT
relating to residential property insurance coverage of cosmetic

BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF TEXAS:

amended by adding Section 2002.007 to read as follows:
Sec. 2002.007. METAL ROOF COVERAGE. (a) In this section,

residential property insurance in this state, including a county
mutual insurance company, farm mutual insurance company, Lloyd's

issue or renew a residential property insurance policy unless, if

 roof.
 (d) An insured may reject in writing the coverage required
 by Subsection (c).
SECTION 2. The change in law made by this Act applies only
to a residential property insurance policy that is delivered,

SECTION 3. This Act takes effect September 1, 2023.
