Frank, Chair, House Committee on Human Services     FROM: Jerry McGinty, Director, Legislative Budget Board      IN RE: HB1798 by Howard (Relating to the development of a strategic plan for home and community-based services provided under Medicaid and the child health plan program and the establishment of an advisory committee on home and community-based services.), As Introduced     No significant fiscal implication to the State is anticipated. The bill would require the Health and Human Services Commission (HHSC) to develop a strategic plan and establish an advisory committee for home and community-based services provided under Medicaid and the Children's Health Insurance Program. According to HHSC, the bill would require additional staff resources to support the committee and conduct analyses related to any recommendations. It is assumed that any costs associated with the bill could be absorbed using existing resources.  Local Government ImpactNo fiscal implication to units of local government is anticipated.
