A BILL TO BE ENTITLED
AN ACT
relating to the issuance of Yvonne A. Ewell Townview Magnet Center
specialty license plates; authorizing a fee.
BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF TEXAS:
SECTION 1. Subchapter F, Chapter 504, Transportation Code,
is amended by adding Section 504.517 to read as follows:
Sec. 504.517. YVONNE A. EWELL TOWNVIEW MAGNET CENTER
LICENSE PLATES. (a) The department shall issue specialty license
plates for alumni and faculty of and students and parents of
students attending the Yvonne A. Ewell Townview Magnet Center in
the city of Dallas. The license plates must include the words
"Yvonne A. Ewell Townview Magnet Center" and the Yvonne A. Ewell
Townview Magnet Center's logo.
(b) The fee for issuance of the license plates may not
exceed the administrative costs incurred by the department in the
issuance of the license plates.
SECTION 2. This Act takes effect September 1, 2023.
