The bill would prohibit the release on personal bond of a defendant charged with certain family violence misdemeanors or charged with certain criminal offenses while released on bail or community supervision for certain family violence misdemeanors. The Office of Court Administration indicates that no significant fiscal impact to the state court system is anticipated.
