The bill amends Section 54.366(a) of the Education Code relating to the eligibility for tuition and fee exemptions for certain students who were under the conservatorship of the Department of Family and Protective Services. It is assumed that any costs associated with the bill could be absorbed using existing resources. It is also assumed the impact on tuition and fee exemptions would be minimal.  Local Government ImpactNo significant fiscal implication to units of local government is anticipated.
