The bill would clarify that a person's date of birth is not confidential and may not be withheld from public disclosure if it is recorded in certain criminal and arrest records or in certain applications filed by candidates for elective office.According to the Office of Court Administration, Office of the Attorney General, Texas Ethics Commission, and Department of Public Safety, any costs associated with the provisions of the bill could be absorbed within existing resources.  Local Government ImpactNo significant fiscal implication to units of local government is anticipated.
