The bill would define "economic benefit" for purposes of gambling criminal offenses to mean direct winnings from a game of skill or luck. and clarifies the definition of a private place to mean a place to which the public does not have access without a valid membership, special invitation, or prior grant of permission. The bill would amend provisions related to the prosecution of certain gambling criminal offenses. It is assumed that any impact on state correctional populations or on the demand for state correctional resources would not be significant.  Local Government ImpactIt is assumed that any fiscal impact to units of local government associated with enforcement, prosecution, supervision, or confinement would not be significant.
