The bill would require an entity that proposes a high-speed rail project, that is included in the Texas Rail Plan, to submit to the Texas Department of Transportation (TxDOT) certain information regarding the project's method of financing, estimated costs, and other financial disclosures each year the project is included in the Rail Plan. The bill would require TxDOT to make this information available to the public on the department's Internet website.  Based on the information provided by TxDOT, it is assumed any costs or duties associated with implementing the provisions of the bill could be absorbed within the department's existing resources.
