The bill would amend the Business & Commerce Code to limit the use of an individual's genetic data by certain genetic testing companies and authorizes the OAG to sue to recover a civil penalty for violations of the chapter.  It is assumed that any costs associated with the bill could be absorbed using existing resources.  Local Government ImpactNo significant fiscal implication to units of local government is anticipated.
