A BILL TO BE ENTITLED
AN ACT
relating to the expiration date for support from a program of the
universal service fund to certain competitive eligible
telecommunications providers serving deregulated areas.
BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF TEXAS:
SECTION 1. Section 56.023(s), Utilities Code, is amended to
read as follows:
(s) The support for eligible telecommunications providers
under Subsections (p) and (r) expires December 31, 2027 [2023].
SECTION 2. This Act takes effect September 1, 2023.
