The bill would amend eligibility requirements for the Teach for Texas Loan Repayment Assistance Program to allow certain school mental health professionals to participate in the program. While the Teach for Texas Loan Repayment Assistance Program is an existing program, the Higher Education Coordinating Board indicates that they do not have sufficient data to estimate how many additional individuals would be eligible for the program as a result of the legislation.  Local Government ImpactNo significant fiscal implication to units of local government is anticipated.
