                    LEGISLATIVE BUDGET BOARD     Austin, Texas       FISCAL NOTE, 88TH LEGISLATIVE REGULAR SESSION             May 13, 2023       TO: Honorable Brandon Creighton, Chair, Senate Committee on Education     FROM: Jerry McGinty, Director, Legislative Budget Board      IN RE: HB3287 by Anderson (relating to the locations of the campuses of the Texas State Technical College System.), Committee Report 2nd House, Substituted     No fiscal implication to the State is anticipated. The bill codifies campuses in Williamson County, Guadalupe and Comal County, and Denton County as component locations of Texas State Technical College. While the bill does not make an appropriation, it enables the specified new campuses of TSTC to receive direct state appropriations in the future, including formula and small institution supplement funding. Potential future costs related to formula calculations are unknown at this time.  Local Government ImpactNo fiscal implication to units of local government is anticipated.
