It is assumed that any costs associated with the bill could be absorbed using existing resources during the 2024-25 biennium.However, based on responses by The University of Texas Health Science Center at Houston, there could be significant costs for the institution beginning in fiscal year 2026 based on the need for additional staff, technology, and contracting costs associated with implementation of the bill.  Local Government ImpactNo significant fiscal implication to units of local government is anticipated.
