Methodology According to DPS, the provisions of the bill would require the agency to redesign the current driver's license/ID card to include the LTC number and period of effectiveness, update six license application forms to include the LTC option, and add a new LTC designation option to the Driver License System. This analysis assumes a onetime cost of $1,290,764 in fiscal year 2024, including $36,500 for the creation of a new design with the current contractor, $19,800 to update six license application forms ($3,300 per form), and $1,234,464 in programming costs to update the Driver License System.
