Lozano, Chair, House Committee on Urban Affairs     FROM: Jerry McGinty, Director, Legislative Budget Board      IN RE: HB3528 by Campos (relating to the establishment of an advisory committee to study suicide prevention and peer support programs in fire departments in this state.), Committee Report 1st House, Substituted     No significant fiscal implication to the State is anticipated. The bill would require the Texas Commission on Fire Protection (TCFP) to establish an advisory committee to study the need for suicide prevention and peer support programs in fire departments across the state. According to TCFP, it is assumed that any costs associated with the bill could be absorbed using existing resources.  Local Government ImpactNo significant fiscal implication to units of local government is anticipated.
