The bill would amend Section 2170, Government Code, requiring entities that use the centralized telephone service provided by the Department of Information Resources (DIR) to provide an email address associated with any user of the service to DIR upon request. The bill would require DIR to prepare and issue a revised centralized telephone service and email directory by December 31 of each year.It is assumed that any costs associated with the bill could be absorbed using existing resources.
