The bill would amend the Government Code to clarify, for the purposes of the Major Events Reimbursement Program and Events Trust Fund, that a sporting event is considered to be held one time in each year if the event is held only one time in any annual season for that sport.According to the Office of the Governor, no significant fiscal implications are anticipated from the provisions of the bill.According to the Comptroller's Office, the fiscal impact of the bill on Appropriated Fund 0869 - Major Events Reimbursement Program Fund and Appropriated Fund 0830 - Events Trust Fund for Certain Municipalities and Counties cannot be estimated.  Local Government ImpactNo significant fiscal implication to units of local government is anticipated.
