A BILL TO BE ENTITLED
AN ACT
relating to clarification of any Fire Marshals of a city, town, or
village who are licensed peace officers.
BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF TEXAS:
Title 1. Code of Criminal Procedures, Chapter 2, General
Duties of Officers, Article 2.12. Who are Peace Officers, is
amended to read as follows:
Section (3) marshals, police officers, fire marshals and
any related officers, investigators or inspectors of an
incorporated city, town, or village who hold a permanent peace
officer license issued under Chapter 1701, Occupations Code.
SECTION 2. This Act takes effect September 1, 2023.
