The bill would amend Chapter 334 of the Local Government Code, relating to Sports and Community Venues.The bill would add Section 334.2519 to authorize a municipality with a population of 750,000 or more that is located in a county with a population of 1.5 million or less to use municipal hotel tax under this chapter to acquire, construct, improve, and equip a venue project and related infrastructure to be constructed on real property that is part of municipal park or recreation system.
