A BILL TO BE ENTITLED
AN ACT
relating to purchase of distilled spirits by the holder of a local
distributors permit.
BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF TEXAS:
SECTION 1. Chapter 23, Alcoholic Beverage Code, is amended
by adding Section 23.01(c) to read as follows:
Sec. 23.01(c). Nothwithstanding Section 23.01(b), the
holder of a local distributor's permit may purchase distilled
spirits directly from the holder of a distiller's and rectifier's
permit located within the same county or an adjacent county as the
holder of a local distributor's permit's premises.
SECTION 2. This Act takes effect on September 1, 2023.
