Frank, Chair, House Committee on Human Services     FROM: Jerry McGinty, Director, Legislative Budget Board      IN RE: HB4157 by Gervin-Hawkins (Relating to the notification of certain persons concerning certain events related to children in the managing conservatorship of the Department of Family and Protective Services.), As Introduced     No significant fiscal implication to the State is anticipated. The bill would have the department notify the parent's attorney of certain information for a child in the managing conservatorship of the department. The bill would also require the department to notify within 48 hours instead of 10 days, when the department becomes aware of a significant event affecting the child. It is assumed any costs to the Department of Family and Protective Services could be absorbed within existing resources.   Local Government ImpactNo fiscal implication to units of local government is anticipated.
