The bill would have the department notify the parent's attorney of certain information for a child in the managing conservatorship of the department. The bill would also require the department to notify within 48 hours instead of 10 days, when the department becomes aware of a significant event affecting the child. It is assumed any costs to the Department of Family and Protective Services could be absorbed within existing resources.
