The bill would expand the criteria and qualifications for distributions from the Volunteer Fire Department Assistance Fund to include the age of the equipment used by a department. Based on the analysis of the Texas A&M Forest Service, it is assumed that any costs associated with the bill could be absorbed using existing resources.
