The bill would amend Section 5 of the tax code, removing the requirements that school districts submit the No-new-revenue tax rate for the district, and that tax rate forms include a calculation for the rate to maintain the same amount of state and local revenue per weighted student that the district received in the school year beginning in the preceding tax year.The bill would define the "No-new-revenue maintenance and operations rate" for a school district as a rate expressed in dollars per $100 of taxable value and calculated in accordance with the Education Code.The bill would remove the word "weighted" from "state and local revenue per weighted student".  Local Government ImpactNo fiscal implication to units of local government is anticipated.
