A BILL TO BE ENTITLED
AN ACT
relating to the creation and issuance of specialty license plates.
BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF TEXAS:
SECTION 1. Section 504.301, Transportation Code, is amended
by adding Subsection (a-1) to read as follows:
(a-1) In designing specialty license plates under
Subsection (a), the department may consider design recommendations
from persons who are eligible to be issued a specialty license plate
under this subchapter.
SECTION 2. This Act takes effect September 1, 2023.
