The bill would require the Texas Veterans Commission (TVC), in collaboration with the Health and Human Services Commission (HHSC), to conduct a study to evaluate strategies to improve and expand mental health services provided through the TVC's Military Veteran Peer Network. The report shall be submitted no later than December 1, 2024. Based on the analysis of both affected agencies, it is assumed any costs associated with the bill's provisions could be absorbed using existing resources.
