The bill would require certain municipalities to conduct annual surveys of all affordable housing units located in the municipality. Certain information about each affordable housing unit would be required to be made publicly available via a searchable database on an Internet website and a mobile application. Certain municipalities would be required to make this affordable housing data available to state agencies upon request. The bill would require the Texas Department of Housing and Community Affairs to adopt rules necessary to implement and administer these provisions.
