A BILL TO BE ENTITLED
AN ACT
relating to prohibiting a school district board of trustees from
adopting a preference for trustee training offered by a specific
provider.
BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF TEXAS:
SECTION 1. Section 11.159, Education Code, is amended by
adding Subsection (f) to read as follows:
(f) The board of trustees may not adopt a policy that
requires, recommends, or encourages a trustee to attend training
offered by a specific provider.
SECTION 2. This Act takes effect September 1, 2023.
