The bill would amend the Occupations Code to create a new Chapter to regulate music therapists and the practice of music therapy.Based on the analysis of the Texas Department of Licensing and Regulation, duties and responsibilities associated with implementing the bill's provisions could be accomplished with existing resources.Based on the analysis of the Comptroller of Public Accounts, the addition of the new license type would generate an average of $57,400 in revenue each fiscal year from licensing fees for the state.   Local Government ImpactNo significant fiscal implication to units of local government is anticipated.
