No. 105 R E S O L U T I O N WHEREAS, Fresenius Kidney Care, a network of more than 2,400 dialysis facilities nationwide, is a trusted resource for the many Texans who rely on lifesaving dialysis care for chronic kidney disease and end-stage renal disease; and WHEREAS, A division of Fresenius Medical Care North America, Fresenius Kidney Care is dedicated to providing comprehensive services to help kidney disease patients live fuller, more active lives; Fresenius Kidney Care is a worldwide leader in renal disease treatment and research, and its parent company is at the forefront of developing new technologies and treatment strategies for patients with kidney disease; and WHEREAS, Fresenius Kidney Care's dialysis centers are equipped with state-of-the-art technology and staffed by highly trained care teams that assist patients in understanding their treatment options and managing their condition through diet, exercise, and medication; these clinics are an essential resource to their patients, and staff members are committed to ensuring that dialysis services are available to everyone who needs them, even during natural disasters; to that end, Fresenius Kidney Care has helped to evacuate patients during several major hurricanes, including Hurricane Harvey, when the organization assisted in transporting flood-stranded residents by boat to dialysis centers; and WHEREAS, With their skill, compassion, and dedication, the medical professionals and staff at Fresenius Kidney Care are helping thousands of Texans to navigate the challenges of living with renal disease and enjoy the best quality of life possible; now, therefore, be it RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 88th Texas Legislature hereby honor Fresenius Kidney Care for its service to patients with kidney disease across the state of Texas and extend to all those affiliated with the company sincere best wishes for the future; and, be it further RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be prepared for Fresenius Kidney Care as an expression of high regard by the Texas House of Representatives.
