 R E S O L U T I O N
 WHEREAS, Julie Reynolds of Dallas has distinguished herself
 through her accomplishments as a small business owner and
 entrepreneur as well as her contributions to the community; and
 WHEREAS, A graduate of the University of Missouri and
 Stephens College and a registered interior designer, Mrs. Reynolds
 founded Julie Reynolds Interiors in 1981; she has been very active
 in her profession, serving in such leadership roles as president of
 the Texas Association for Interior Design and the American Society
 of Interior Designers Texas Chapter; in addition, she has benefited
 ASID Texas as Dallas Design Community chair; and
 WHEREAS, Mrs. Reynolds designed offices at the Texas Capitol
 based on Texas Accessibility Standards; moreover, she has renovated
 buildings designated as historic; in her projects, she strives to
 improve sustainability and the safety of the indoor environment,
 and she has served on the board of Green Source DFW, a digital
 publication covering environmental news in North Texas; she has
 mentored both students and other professionals; and
 WHEREAS, The recipient of numerous accolades, Mrs. Reynolds
 has garnered the TAID John Tryon Robinson Award, recognizing
 outstanding service to the profession, as well as the ASID Medalist
 Award and ASID Texas Chapter President's Award; she holds an NCIDQ
 Certificate from the Council for Interior Design Qualification; and
 WHEREAS, Mrs. Reynolds has given generously of her time and
 talents in behalf of her fellow citizens; she has led the Campbell
 Green Neighborhood Association, and she has volunteered for many
 local and state political campaigns; in all her endeavors, she has
 been fortunate to have the love and support of her husband, Don Lea
 Reynolds, and two sons, David and Christopher; she takes great
 pride in her five grandchildren, Luke, Lilliana, Joaquin, Jake, and
 June; and
 WHEREAS, An admired professional and engaged citizen, Julie
 Reynolds has earned the respect and admiration of innumerable
 people over the course of her long career, and it is indeed a
 pleasure to recognize her at this time; now, therefore, be it
 RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 88th Texas
 Legislature hereby honor Julie Reynolds for her professional
 achievements and civic contributions and extend to her sincere best
 wishes for the future; and, be it further
 RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be
 prepared for Mrs. Reynolds as an expression of high regard by the
 Texas House of Representatives.
