H.R. No. 1204
R E S O L U T I O N
WHEREAS, Raudel Garza has been named the new executive
director of the Edinburg Economic Development Corporation; and
WHEREAS, Assuming his new role in November 2023, Mr. Garza
will be responsible for helping EEDC coordinate, develop, and
manage incentives and programs to attract businesses to the
Edinburg area; and
WHEREAS, Mr. Garza has acquired a wealth of valuable
knowledge and experience during his nearly three decades in the
field of economic development; working in both the public and
private sectors, he has led the Rio South Texas Economic Council as
well as economic development teams in Harlingen, Mission, and
Pharr; moreover, he has served on the Texas Workforce Commission
Regional Workforce Planning Committee, and he has benefited the
Texas Economic Development Council as a member of its board of
directors and as a representative on its Team Texas Advisory
Committee; among his honors, he has received Economic Excellence
Recognition from TEDC; and
WHEREAS, Throughout his career, Raudel Garza has upheld the
highest standards of his profession, and he is sure to bring to his
new position equal commitment and energy; now, therefore, be it
RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 88th Texas
Legislature hereby congratulate Raudel Garza on his selection as
executive director of the Edinburg Economic Development
Corporation and extend to him sincere best wishes for a successful
tenure; and, be it further
RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be
prepared for Mr. Garza as an expression of high regard by the Texas
House of Representatives.
